From exploring iconic neighborhoods and enjoying Austin’s legendary live music scene to sipping wine in Texas Hill Country, cruising Lady Bird Lake, and indulging in fabulous dining, this trip balances curated experiences with plenty of downtime.

March in Austin offers some of the most pleasant weather of the year, making it an ideal time for a spring getaway. Expect warm, sunny days with average temperatures in the mid-60s to low-70s°F, paired with cooler evenings that are perfect for outdoor dining and live music.

DAY 1 – Wednesday, March 25 | Arrival + Easy Welcome

Welcome to Austin! Our long weekend begins in the Live Music Capital of the World, where culture, food, and relaxed vibes come together perfectly.

Free time for shopping for a short Uber ride to South Congress, spa appointments, or pool lounging. You may enjoy this time together as a group or choose to explore independently, this time is yours to enjoy at your own pace. Option to head over to Zilker Botanical Garden and wander through themed garden spaces—an oasis of tranquility in the heart of Austin in spring.

Food Walking Tour exploring the city’s culinary scene and sample numerous foods, from barbecue brisket to Austin-style breakfast tacos and even an Italian cannoli. 4pm 3hrs

DAY 3 – Friday, March 27 | Texas Hill Country Escape

Hill country Wine Tour Head to the hills where the views are scenic and the wine is plentiful with this Hill Country bachelorette adventure. Private bus will take you to three of the area’s favorite wineries to taste some of the best wine Texas has to offer. No trip to Austin is complete without that iconic group shot with the gorgeous Hill Country backdrop, so let us do the driving, while you relax! 10:30am 4.5hrs

On every SG tour, our policies regarding luggage restrictions are driven by the physical space limitations of the vehicles we use and the requirement that all travelers be able to manage their own belongings without assistance.

It is best to travel as lightly as possible. Most travelers regret when they have packed too much.

You are responsible for managing your own belongings. We expect you to take your belongings from the coach to your room and to bring it back to the coach and load it on days we change hotels. We do not provide luggage pulls; they are not safe and are inconvenient. The possibility of steps exist at most hotel entrances.

Fitness

Be ready to balance indulgent meals and tastings with walking tours, shopping, waterfront strolls, and Hill Country exploring. A moderate level of mobility is helpful to fully enjoy the experience.

Money

Only you can determine how much cash you’ll need. When budgeting, consider:

Travel Insurance: Travel insurance is not included but is mandatory for our trips. While no one plans for disruptions, unexpected situations can and do arise. Although you may have personal health insurance that covers medical care, it does not provide protection for trip cancellations, delays, or lost or stolen luggage. If you choose to opt out of travel insurance, you will be required to provide a copy of your health insurance card as proof of coverage during your trip. Travel insurance offers comprehensive protection and peace of mind beyond what standard health insurance can provide.

Payment Dates and Cancellation Penalty Amounts

Upon Booking: Deposit of $500.00 is due (This is a non-refundable deposit.)

Final due Feb 15, 2026

Cancellation: Once deposit has been applied, $500 is non refundable. If cancelled after the final payment is applied, 100% non refundable. No show reservations will be charged in full.

Traveling Solo?

If you wish to share with another solo traveler, select this option on the Reservation Form and your tour price will automatically be based on the room share price.

Or, you may select a single room, when available, on the Reservation Form and your tour price will be automatically based on the single room price.

Please plan to arrive in Austin at your leisure. Transportation from the airport to the hotel is provided. Austin-Bergstrom International Airport is approximately 15–20 minutes from downtown Austin and South Congress, depending on traffic.

Once you arrive at the hotel, you may check in or store your luggage with the front desk if rooms are not yet ready. We will gather later in the day to officially kick off our Suitcase Gals Austin getaway.

When to Purchase Air: ASAP after your deposit has been applied. Should the tour not operate, regardless of reason, traveler is responsible for any penalties airlines may impose to rebook or cancel the ticket.

Important Reminders About This Tour

Protect Your Travel Investment: Travel insurance is more important than ever. SG will quote travel insurance on and individual basis. Often Travel Protection is offered on specific tours. All insurance policies offered are not included in the price of the trip.

Activity Rating

As a solo traveler you are responsible for yourself, your possessions, your physical fitness, and all other aspects related to participation in the SG tour you have chosen.

Because of this requirement, SG tours are not suitable for anyone who is physically challenged, walking impaired, or is a slow walker that cannot keep up with the pace of the group.

Activity levels are subjective and based on the reader's interpretation. Almost everyone overestimates their abilities. Therefore, it is your responsibility to read the itinerary and understand what you are doing throughout the tour.

Travel Protection

Suitcase Gals now requires the purchase of travel protection for all trips outside of the United States.

We will offer insurance directly with the supplies that we work with when possible as well as with Alliance which is based on the cost of the trip and age. Allianz also has an Annual Policy for those who travel several times a year.

You are also welcome to purchase your own insurance; however, it must cover the entire cost of the trip and include medical coverage for any trips outside of the United States. Please contact us for specific details.

If you are Traveling in the United States, you do not have to purchase Travel Protection unless you choose to do so. You are, however, required to have health insurance. Proof of health insurance is required. If you choose not to take travel protection you will sign a waiver indicating that you declined coverage.

Please note: Suitcase Gals is not responsible if you choose to decline travel protection. By not having travel protection you have no coverage should you have to cancel.
